BRAVE NEW WORLD

In order to tackle the growing impoverishment of humanity, Elle Decoration readers have joined forces and created a foundation that aims to provide humane housing for millions of refugee families. New living space is mainly generated by using their own villas and luxury apartments in order to compensate in an appropriate manner the years and years of suffering. Whereas the owners have decided to spend a few years in refugee camps and to discover themselves  during this adventure holiday.

A high-performance team of designers is currently working on adapting the former homes of Elle Decoration readers to the requirements of the often large refugee families. For example, entrance halls have to be expanded, kitchens enlarged or billiard rooms converted into children's rooms.

The next issue of Elle Decoration will document the first families moving into their new homes. Our photos show a preview.
